Mª Victoria Moreno Arribas, Doctor in Pharmacy and Senior Researcher of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) at the Institute of Food Science Research (CIAL). She is member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN), and Master Contact for CSIC in EIT Food. Her research is focused on the influence of food components (i.e. polyphenols) on the oral and intestinal microbiota and its genome (microbiome), considering the metabolic functionality of the microbiota and the health impact of this interaction on digestive and brain function. Dr. Moreno-Arribas has coordinated national (20) and international projects (5) and the significance of her research activity is reflected in more than 170 publications in high-rated international journals, 6 international books, communications to international conferences, 5 patent applications, as well as in collaborations with other scientists from top institutes all over the world.
Mariana Silva López, graduated in Food Science and Technology from the Rey Juan Carlos University, Master in Agricultural Chemistry and New Foods from the Autonomous University of Madrid and Doctor in Food Safety and Analytical Chemistry from the Rey Juan Carlos University, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Food Science Research Institute (CIAL).
