University Autonomus of Madrid (UAM) is a Life Sciences specialized academic institution. UAM campus hosts two complementary Institutes devoted to food science, technology and nutrition: IMDEA Food (Targeting Precision Nutrition for human chronic disease prevention) and CIAL (Focused on innovation in food design for nutrition and health). UAM-IMDEA Food promotes communication activities with a press office, outreach events to address the general public and school children, infodays, and a wide partner network on social media. IMDEA Food houses a Nutrigenetics Interactive Museum open to citizens, schoolchildren and undergraduates.
