Next Thursday, 28 May, the IMDEA Food Institute together with the Spanish Federation of Nutrition, Food and Dietetic Societies (FESNAD) will join the celebration of National Nutrition Day (NDN), with the organization of the online conference: “Personalized nutrition, a prevention tool in public health in times of pandemic”, which will begin at 6 pm through the Go to Meeting platform.
IMDEA Food, as a member of the EIT Food consortium together with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, has a very close commitment to society to increase its knowledge of the world of food. So much so, that it is developing projects such as #AnnualFoodAgenda, an initiative aimed at consumers to encourage them to think critically about the food they eat today and to inspire new generations by promoting healthy and sustainable decision-making for the environment.
In line with the future trends that will emerge in the world of food in the coming years, precision nutrition will play a leading role and should be considered, more than ever, as a public issue and a responsibility of nations to deal with possible new pandemic scenarios, as the relationship between nutritional status and immunity is scientifically proven.
