How to find a way to attract children’s attention to properly composing their meals and also taking care of a healthy lifestyle? This challenge was taken by scientists from the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences together with Maspex experts, and as a result, educational materials have been prepared. In the developed video “Healthy eating basics #TrustYourFood“, children will find the most important tips related to proper nutrition, simple principles of healthy eating, as well as ways to lead a healthy lifestyle from an early age. Knowledge of the selection of age-appropriate food products and comprehension of the basic principles of a balanced diet is a key role in building children’s trust in food. Sometimes some product groups are perceived as e.g. fattening, and young consumers skip them in their diet, while the key to proper nutrition is the ability to compose a balanced diet containing various food products. Understanding the role of individual food ingredients and the principles of healthy eating will help children better understand the impact of nutrition on their health.
Thanks to the cooperation with the management and the teaching staff of selected schools, the materials will be spread within primary school pupils.
