Food and nutrition trends have changed over the years. To bring consumers closer to trends that are currently shaping the global food market, and thus our daily diet, Maspex, the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn and Biotechnologia.pl are organizing a webinar that will provide participants with a large dose of knowledge in a nutshell. This joint initiative is part of the #AnnualFoodAgenda” project (www.annualfoodagenda.com) funded by the EIT Food community. As part of this project, actions have been taking place since the beginning of 2019 to raise public awareness of healthy nutrition, food safety, food innovations, and proper management of food waste. The #AnnualFoodAgenda project is implemented in three European Union countries – in Poland, Great Britain, and Spain.
“Trends in food and nutrition” is a webinar topic that will be presented to participants from two perspectives, a scientist and a dietitian. Do food trends shape our shopping cart? Or is the shopping cart shaping trends? How trends influence ‘feeding systems’? The information needed to answer these questions will be discussed by Dr. Michał Janiak from the Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn. Followingly, dietician Agnieszka Piskała-Topczewska will share with participants selected food trends and explain interesting nutrition trends representing the dietician’s point of view. At the end of webinar there will be Q&A session.
